Research and development is a fundamental sector in the company policy of T&T, because it represents the starting point for obtaining very professional products.
Following this policy, T&T has started a development project that aims to recover the autochthonous germplasm (that contains the typical characteristics of local varieties), making a selection on the basis of uniformity and colour, in order to meet the increasing qualitative and aesthetic standards requested by modern market, without losing the organoleptic and nutritional characteristics of the product.
The knowledge acquired thanks to a multiyear experience, and the possibilities offered by the modern genetic technologies, will allow the company to find the best solutions for a right and fruitful use of a wide genetic inheritance of radicchi (to be continued...)

The progect regards also baby leaf products. T&T is one of the few italian seed companies that multiplies and improves its genetic material in this sector, assuring a continuity in terms of qualitative characteristics of the products (germination level, vigour, resistence, colour ect...).
Pursuing this aims, that regard Wild Rocket T&T Venere, green lettuce T&T, red lettuce T&T, green lollo T&T, new varieties have been developed: a red lettuce, a red radicchio for baby leaf suitable all round year, and a new wild rocket T&T Giove, now in testing phase at external companies (to be continued....)
